　　美国总统布什1月20日宣誓就职，开始了他的第二届总统任期。盛大的就职仪式结束后，华盛顿的许多地方现在都在举行盛宴和舞会，以示庆祝。华盛顿地区有一家中国餐馆是布什一家非常喜欢的。这家中餐馆的老板希望布什总统连任后能够继续光顾他的餐馆。

    *北京楼闻名遐迩*

    美国首都华盛顿近郊维吉尼亚州的七角镇有一家只有两百个座位，招牌上有个鸭子的中国餐馆“北京楼”。北京楼虽然外表一点也不起眼，但是在华盛顿却名气很大。一方面由于它的北京烤鸭做的考究，更重要的是两位布什总统常常到那儿去吃饭，特别是老布什总统，去过几十次。

    *老布什光顾几十次*

    北京楼老板徐化普是加州理工学院的化学博士，为了继承父业，他放弃大学教授的职位，改行做了餐馆老板。他说，最早是老布什总统的手下到他们饭店吃饭。

    他说：“老布什的小儿子马文和我们饭店的关系好，有一次他问我可不可以把他父亲带来吃饭，当时我们根本不知道他的父亲是副总统。从此以后老布什常来吃饭，在他总统任内来了几十次。小布什总统是跟他父亲来我们店吃过几次饭，最近一次是去年，他在这里停留了两个小时。”

    *布什家不许浪费*

    徐化普说：“小布什总统给的小费相当不少。布什家庭的传统是不许浪费，点的菜一定要吃光。通常只点五个菜，他们爱吃北京烤鸭、羊扒、四季豆等等，他们全家都不吃西洋甘蓝。美国总统没有架子，他们像普通人一样预先定位，不同的是有安全人员同来。他们坐在隔离的套房里，不会干扰其他顾客。”

    *去德州给老布什做菜庆生*

    北京楼老板徐化普称老布什总统喜欢自己付帐。 “他第一次来用American Express信用卡，当时我们这儿还没有用这种信用卡，他当时开玩笑地说，他会寄张支票给我们，希望我们相信他的信用，以后他每次都用信用卡付帐。就在老布什总统卸任那年，他在德州老家过生日，我们把他爱吃的菜先准备好，邮寄到德州，然后我的弟弟带领几位厨师到德州他的家里，为他做了一桌中国菜来庆祝他的生日。没想到老总统夫人在她的书中还提到这件事，老布什总统还写信谢谢我父亲，对我们到德州做菜给他吃，他说他是至死不忘。可见老布什总统很有中国人情味。”
